About the founder

A player’s problem, built into a practical tool.

PokerDesk is built by Martin Nielsen, a Faroese professional poker player based in Austria.

After years traveling for live poker series across Europe, Asia, and the US, Martin repeatedly had to compare official tour pages, PDFs, and late schedule updates before deciding what to play.

Before poker, Martin worked as a software engineer, and PokerDesk brings those two worlds together: the practical mindset of a poker player and the product-building mindset of someone who understands software.

PokerDesk starts by making source-verified series easier to discover and, where full schedules are available, easier to turn into a practical mobile plan.
